The first installation of the Smarthandle™ was carried out successfully on an Icelandair Boeing 757-200. After AeroSmart Technologies presented the Smarthandle™ to Icelandair the company saw its operational value, and agreed to provide the test bed aircraft for the initial installation. After this successful installation, Icelandair has now ordered the Smarthandle™ for the remainder of their fleet.
